Job Profile: Stakeholder Engagement and User-Case Coordinator (Part time position)

Innovation for Agriculture (IfA) is an independent organisation working with farmers to develop the knowledge that will ensure farming is sustainable, resilient and productive. We connect farmers with farming research by running practical and interactive workshops, farm walks and on farm events, specialising in peer-to-peer learning.
Summary of this role
The postholder will be responsible for stakeholder engagement and co-ordination of the user-case development and analysis for the EU H2020 FAIRshare programme. FAIRshare aims to enable farm advisors to use Digital Advisory Tools and Services to support a more productive and sustainable agriculture. Working closely with the Head of Policy, this role will be responsible for timely and efficient delivery of the programme’s tasks and deliverables, organising and running farmers’ and advisors’ user-case studies, contributing to regular report writing, provide updates on project progress as required, actively participate in project meetings and events and maintain high level collaboration with project partners.

Person Specification
Essential
- Honours degree in agriculture/agricultural science or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline
- Ability to conduct individual and collaborative projects.
- Proven interpersonal skills to work with relevant stakeholders across a range of organisations.
- Experience of engaging and working with farmers, advisors and farmer organisations.
- Sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline of agronomy/agricultural science and of research methods and techniques to work within established programmes.
- Ability to produce and lead on written reports, papers and presentations for different target audiences (e.g., industry, academia, agricultural organisations).
- Good effective communication (oral and written) skills, presentation and training skills, (e.g., with ability to communicate complex information and material of a specialist or technical nature).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team and contribute positively to a collegial team environment and to be able to work independently.
- Ability to initiate, plan organise, implement and deliver programmes to deadlines.
- Experience of co-creation approaches to research and innovation.
- Will be required to attend IfA meetings and to participate (where necessary) in other working groups within IfA, EU consortia and other collaborating organisations.
- May be required to contribute to the preparation of papers for steering, board groups and other bodies.
- Ability to ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of work.
- Work within budget constraints.
Desirable
- MSc degree in agronomy/agricultural science
- Past track record in EU-wide consortia programmes
- Experience with national and international policy research in agricultural innovation.
